With the pending Brexit fast approaching, ports UK wide are warning that unless action is taken promptly, planned customs checks may be extremely difficult, if not impossible to conduct on all cargo entering or leaving the UK, due to a lack of both customs officers and facilities.
Whilst there are potential options and contingencies, they need to implemented promptly to ensure delays do not occur.
